Registration for Selected Events at the 3rd ValEUs Conference

Thank you very much for your interest in the ValEUs Network’s 3rd and closing conference!

To ensure we can welcome all our guests appropriately, we would be grateful if you could let us know as soon as possible which conference events you would like to attend. 

Conference Registration:

Opening Event 

29 September 2026, 5:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

The conference begins at 5:00 p.m. with a small reception. Geny Piotti from the EU Research Funding Office at Viadrina and Timm Beichelt, Principal Investigator of the ValEU network, will open the evening with some introductory remarks. Hans Kundnani of the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) will then deliver the opening keynote, entitled “What Values Are European?”. A separate registration for the reception is not necessary.

Evening Event at Collegium Polonicum

30 September 2026, 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

On the evening of the second conference day, you are welcomed by Ewa Bielewicz, Director of Collegium Polonicum, and Eduard Mühle, President of the European University Viadrina. Marek Prawda, a senior Polish diplomat and long-standing lecturer at Viadrina, will then speak on “Challenges of a Value-Oriented EU Foreign Policy”.

"Struggle with ‘European’ Values” Roundtable and Reception

1 October 2026, begins at 5:30 p.m.

At this Roundtable event, experts from academia, politics and civil society will discuss current challenges concerning “European” values before opening the discussion to the audience. The public reception that follows around 7:30 p.m. will provide an opportunity to continue the conversation over some snacks and drinks.
